資金会計原論Theory of Cash by Funds— 4.4 Score Board
Look at the B/S by Fund as of July 2004 just before the bankruptcy. A hen (Investments) expected to bear golden eggs bore the red figures of Substantial Retained Earnings which caused the lack of Paid-in Capital. The acquired Cash by borrowing was just carried over to the succeeding period. Investments was covered by Paid-in Capital. While they had plenty of Cash, they borrowed money. Why?
It seemed that they could not expect to encash Receivables. Their failure was in the increasing red figures of Substantial Retained Earnings.
